The Torrevella estate, where Sotaroni products are born.
It is located in the Polop Valley. A valley situated north of Alicante, in the inland regions, just a few kilometers from the city of Alicante. A unique environment, where continental and Mediterranean climates converge, due to its altitude of 850 meters above sea level. Furthermore, it is surrounded by high mountains and ranges, making it a place of great biological interest and high biodiversity.
Between the Mariola mountain range and the Fuente Roja spring.
It is also very close to the highest peak in the province, Aitana. With a cool climate in winter, hot in summer, and very high levels of sunshine, it is ideal for growing fruit trees, including cherry and apple trees.
Integrated agriculture
The farm operates under integrated farming practices, which are beneficial to the environment. Olive groves are combined with cherry and apple orchards. Zero-residue or bio-ecological products are used, and the soil is kept fallow to maintain its biodiversity. Thanks to its vegetation cover, where more than 50 types of plants have been identified, it is essential for maintaining a soil rich in beneficial microorganisms for cultivation. These microorganisms prevent pests and imbalances in the soil structure.
The surroundings of the estate
The estate's surroundings are abundant with plants such as rosemary, juniper, thyme, and various types of sage. Products like extra virgin olive oil, cherries, apples, and honey contain trace elements, polyphenols, and organoleptic characteristics that are beneficial to health and fundamental to Mediterranean culture and cuisine.
